Reclaiming life for God’s purposes

What has shaped the way you live?

Every day, something is shaping the way we think, what we value, how we respond, what we pursue, and ultimately how we live.

The question is—what is shaping us?

Reclaimed helps us stop, examine what has shaped us, return to God’s Word, and intentionally live according to His purposes.

We’re all being shaped

Sometimes we need to stop long enough to notice.

We don’t make most of our decisions in a vacuum.

Our families shape us.

Our experiences shape us.

Our hurts shape us.

Our successes shape us.

Our friends shape us.

Our phones shape us.

Our churches shape us.

Our fears shape us.

And the culture around us is constantly telling us what is normal, what is important, what will make us happy, and who we should become.

Some of those influences are good. Some aren’t. And some we’ve simply never stopped long enough to examine.

What if we did?

What if instead of automatically accepting what we’ve been taught, felt, experienced, or absorbed, we learned to hold it up to the truth of God’s Word?

That’s where reclaiming begins.

A different way to live

Stop. Examine. Return. Live.

01

Stop

Slow down long enough to notice.

What am I thinking? What am I believing? How am I responding? What has my attention? What is shaping me?

02

Examine

Get curious about why.

Where did this belief come from? Why do I respond this way? Is this actually true—or have I simply believed it for so long that it feels true?

03

Return

Go back to the source of truth.

Not, What does culture say? Not even, What have I always been taught? What does God actually say? We return to Scripture and allow God’s Word—not our feelings, experiences, circumstances, or culture—to define what is true.

04

Live

Put truth into practice.

Knowing truth and living according to it aren’t the same thing. Reclaiming happens when what we discover in God’s Word begins changing our choices, responses, relationships, priorities, habits, and everyday lives.

This isn’t about becoming a better version of yourself.

It’s easy to turn personal growth into another project.

Fix your habits.
Manage your time.
Improve your marriage.
Think more positively.
Find your purpose.
Get your life together.

But Reclaimed isn’t ultimately about self-improvement.

It’s about surrender.

It’s recognizing the places where our lives have been shaped by something other than God and allowing Him, through His Word, to transform them.

We don’t want Scripture to simply be something we know. We want it to change the way we live.

Where do you want to begin?

Maybe it’s one area. Maybe it’s several.

You don’t have to fix your entire life today. Start by becoming curious about one area God may already be bringing to your attention.

08

Purpose

Reclaim why you’re here.

Move beyond the world’s definitions of success and learn to faithfully live the life and assignments God has placed before you.

Don’t just read it. Wrestle with it.

Truth shouldn’t stop at inspiration.

We don’t want to give you another inspirational quote to scroll past. We want to help you open your Bible, ask hard questions, think deeply, have meaningful conversations, and put truth into practice.

That’s why Reclaimed combines biblical teaching with practical tools that help you work through what you’re learning.

Start somewhere

What are you wrestling with right now?

Made with purpose

Things worth keeping. Truth worth remembering.

Some things at Reclaimed begin with a question and become a worksheet or journal. Others begin as a piece of wood in the workshop.

What they have in common is purpose.

Our resources, handmade pieces, home goods, journals, and gifts are created to help people remember truth, gather together, give intentionally, create beauty, and live with greater purpose.

Reclaim time together

Sometimes you need to get away to remember what matters.

Nestled in the North Georgia mountains, Woodchuck Acres is a place we’ve created for slowing down.

Sit on the porch.

Stay around the table a little longer.

Walk outside.

Play a game.

Build a fire.

Have the conversation.

Take a nap.

Put the phone down.

Laugh together.

Make memories.

Because sometimes reclaiming what matters isn’t about adding something else to your life. It’s about making room for what’s already important.

The people behind Reclaimed

We’re reclaiming too.

We’re Christy and Mark.

Reclaimed Purposes didn’t begin because we figured out how to live perfectly balanced, intentional, purpose-filled lives. It grew out of real life—marriage, parenting, ministry, work, relationships, hard seasons, conversations around our table, studying God’s Word, creating things with our hands, mentoring others, and recognizing again and again how easily the things that matter most can get crowded out.

We’ve spent years helping people connect what they believe with how they actually live. And we’ve needed that same reminder ourselves. Reclaimed Purposes is where those worlds come together.

We’re not inviting you to watch us do this perfectly. We’re inviting you to reclaim alongside us.

From the journal

Let’s question some things we’ve stopped questioning.

Culture has plenty to say about who we are, what we need, and how we should spend our lives. Sometimes those messages are so familiar we don’t even recognize them anymore. So let’s talk about them—and then take them back to Scripture.
